Georgia Bulldogs Recruiting: Taking a Look at Top Running Back Recruit Keith Marshall
Keith Marshall is thought by many to be the best runningback in the country; in fact Scout.com has him as the nations number one running back and the fifth best player in the country.
Marshall is very explosive and is without question one of the fastest players in the country. While is known more for his cutting and change of direction abilities, he also packs some solid strength into his 5’11”, 190 pound body.
He will undoubtedly fill out to around 205 to 210 pounds I would think, and that will make him an even more complete back that scouts think he is now.
The only question there seems to be for Marshall is where he will end up playing in college. He hasn’t said much other than a decision should come before too long. The general thought that I have read on various sites is that he leaning Georgia at this point, but there really is no telling at this point as he hasn’t really said too much.
If Georgia were to sign him, he would likely be able to give them a solid duo in 2012 with Isaiah Crowell, though Ken Malcome will be trying to make his claim for playing time this season.
There are some fans that think he stays in state and plays for the North Carolina Tar Heels, continuing their recent success of bringing in a ton of talent.
Clemson, Florida, and Alabama are in the mix reportedly as well. There are a ton of schools that he is still looking at, Mark Richt and his coaching staff are just hoping he chooses to come to Athens and play for the Bulldogs. He would make an excellent “lightning and lightening” combination with Crowell.
The following is his junior season highlight.
