Georgia Bulldogs Recruiting: Will Top Safety Nelson Agholor be a Dawg?
Nelson Agholor plays safety and runningback/receiver at Berkely Preparatory School in Tampa, FL. He is one of the nation’s best safeties, as he has all the playmaking ability you could ask for.
As a safety, Agholor can use his speed and great instincts to make a ton of plays in the secondary. He then has the hands of a receiver and once the ball is in his hands, Agholor can take it all the way back with great elusiveness and vision.
He will be playing mainly safety at the next level, but Agholor also has shown that he is a very capable offensive player. His speed is his greatest asset and mixed with his ability to see the field means that he make any play a big one. This will make a lethal candidate to score on interceptions and fumbles, as well as a likely big-play returner at the next level.
Agholor has picked up nearly 4,000 yards of total offense and 12 career interceptions in three seasons, and is poised to leave his mark as a senior.
Agholor is a four-star prospect for all major recruiting site, and Scout.com come as the 6’1”, 175-pounder as the fifth best safety in the country.
As far as where he is going to end up playing at the next level, Agholor hasn’t really made any decisions to cut down his list.
My sources are telling me that they expect Agholor to be a Dawg, and I really hope that it happens. He is a guy that could help in so many ways and in every facet of the game. Others on his lsit include Michigan, Auburn, Florida, USC, and Tennessee.
Whichever school he decides to go to, Agholor is going to have to work on gaining some weight and becoming a better tackler. He has all the physical tools to be a stud at the next level though.
